The Cost of Living at Finca Cuzco:

  • Electricity:  average of 80 € per month with Endesa.
  • IBI (Rates):  120 € per year.
  • Gas: 17.50 € per bottle.  This price varies depending on the season!  The hot water boiler and cooker use gas bottles which last approximately one month.
  • Water:  average of 50 € per quarter.
  • Internet:  29.50 € per month with the current provider.  However, there are now new companies advertising internet and mobile offers for as little as 20 € per month.
  • Swimming Pool:  There's no swimming pool at the property but there's room to install a good sized one.  Prices start at around 7,500 € for an 8m fibreglass pool.  The law currently doesn't allow construction of concrete pools in this area anymore.
  • Solar Panels:  Could be installed from 1,500 € for heating water.  They could also be installed to generate electricity but the Government has recently decided to tax this kind of use!
  •  Building Work / Extensions:  The original farmhouse has been built on protected land.  This means any addition/extension of the footprint is not allowed and will be deemed illegal.   There have been many laws and regulations contradicting each other and the best person to advice you in this respect would be a reputable Lawyer, which we encourage you to see before any commitment is made.
